Monty Dise
President and Owner of Asset Protection Group, Inc (AP Group)

Monty graduated from the University of Georgia in 1989. After graduating, he became one of the founders of Virginia Financial Associates, Inc. (VFA), and later created AP Group as a subsidiary of VFA in 1995. AP Group became a separate entity in 2002, and Monty became the sole owner. In the course of his career, Monty has served as the President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Richmond (IIAR), on the board of the Independent Insurance Agents of Virginia (IIAV), and was also on the board of Governor Kaine’s Access to Healthcare Committee. He is currently on the board of the Virginia Financial Services Corporation which is the for-profit arm of the IIAV, as well as on the IIAV’s legislative committee. Monty awarded the Golden Eagle Insurance Agent of the Year award by the IIAV. In addition, he is on the Bureau of Insurance’s Work Group for Universal Group Health Application in response to House Bill 728. In August of 2010, Monty was honored to be personally chosen as one of 24 Virginian leaders on Governor McDonnell’s Virginia Health Reform Initiative Advisory Council, along with multiple sub-committees. He considers himself privileged to take part in advancing the VHRI vision that “ Virginia should aspire to have the healthiest individuals, the healthiest communities, the best health care system and the strongest economy in the nation”. Monty is a lifelong Richmond native. In his free time, Monty enjoys playing guitar, playing tennis, and spending time with his family.

Jennifer Hartman

Jennifer began her insurance career 15 years ago when she joined the field office for a national malpractice insurance carrier. She graduated Cum Laude from Averett University with a Bachelor in Business Administration degree. She has been working at Asset Protection Group since 2003 and holds the designation of Accredited Advisor in Insurance. She is licensed for both Property & Casualty and Life & Health. She is married and has three children and a dog. In her free time, she enjoys watching her children’s various sporting activities, reading, and shopping for shoes.

Jacqueline Faulkner

Jacqueline is native of New York who moved to Virginia in 2004. She attended Orange County College, and has over 20 years insurance experience in three states. She joined Asset Protection Group in 2006. She is licensed for both Property & Casualty and Life & Health. She is married and has a son and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and giving out free fashion advice.

Jodi R. Ashcraft

Jodi began her health insurance career at BCBS of Virginia in 1986 where she began working as a Small Business New Sales and Retention Representative. After 7 successful years meeting new sales and renewal quotas, Jodi was promoted to Manager of the small business New Sales and Retention at Anthem where she worked very closely with the many different market segments and leadership teams. Jodi happily joined Asset Protection Group in August 2011. She has 2 beautiful daughters, Taylor(21) and Katie(18) and 2 dogs, Bea and Rusty. In her spare time Jodi is enjoying settling in to her new home in Bon Air, Virginia, and spending time with her family and friends.

Katie Trimble
Account Manager Life & Health

Katie holds a Virginia Life & Health Insurance license, as well as a North Carolina non-resident license. She has been with Asset Protection Group since graduating from Midlothian High School in 2008, starting as the Front Desk Receptionist. In 2010, she received her license in Life & Health Insurance, and now assists in managing Group and Individual Health, Life, and Disability insurance accounts. In her free time, she enjoys taking pictures, spending time with her family, and going on walks with her Dachshund.

Evelyn Josephsen
Office Coordinator

Evelyn Josephsen is the newest addition to the AP Group team. She has an extensive background in customer service, which is apparent in her professional manner when greeting customers as they call the office. Her upbeat “can-do” attitude is evident as she assists both staff and clients with their insurance needs. Evelyn desires to grow in her knowledge of the industry and eventually become a licensed insurance representative. When not at the office, Evelyn is spending time with her one year old daughter, Camden, going on walks, shopping, and playing outdoors.

Kim Trimble
Finance Director

Kim has held this position since the company began in 2002. Before coming to AP Group, Kim worked at the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC). She began her career at the SCC, as an intern while attending Virginia Commonwealth University, and upon completing her education was offered a staff accountant/auditor position in the Division of Accounting and Finance. Over the next several years, she was promoted to Senior Auditor and then again promoted to the position of Audit Supervisor for all of the Telecommunication Utilities in Virginia. Kim is a native of Richmond. She is married and has two daughters and one stepson. She also has two granddaughters, one grandson and two granddogs. In her spare time, Kim enjoys volunteering at her church, playing with her grandchildren, traveling, reading and singing.
